Pigtails

Marianne got her first set of pigtails a couple days ago!


Why is she topless, you ask? She had ravioli with marinara sauce for dinner, that's why!

"Si-ock"

No postings so far this week because Marianne has been sick, or "ock" as she likes to call it. Just your run of the mill runny nose, sore throat, low-grade fever, feelin' achy common cold, but it's no fun to be "ock"! In between naps and battling her runny nose, we spent a lot of time watching "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and even watched an old episode of the "Smurfs" (it's on at 5:30 EST on BOOM, for all those Smurfette fans out there!).She's feeling better today, and almost back to her old self. Unfortunately, she was sweet enough to share her "ock" with Mommy...everytime she sees me with a tissue for MY runny nose, she starts screaming!

Paparazzi

Marianne is so over the paparazzi at 4 Maverick Place. But notice the cute hair, compliments of GaGa who played "booty parlor" with her and tamed her wild tresses with a hair-dryer.

I Love My Baby

Marianne adores her baby doll. She pushes her around in her little stroller, picks her up and hugs her, and gives her some intense pats on the back as she says, "Ahhhh." But when I took one of Marianne's beloved pacifiers (aka "My Precious") and gave it to the baby, she wasn't happy. Guess we're not ready to share yet.

Corn on the Cob

Marianne had her first corn-on-the-cob a few nights ago. Would you be surprised if I told you she LOVED it? Didn't think so.

Little Miss Cupcake

Sorry for not posting much this week, I've been too busy having fun with Marianne!

A friend made us some darling cupcakes last weekend, decorated to look like puppies. Frosting, marshmallow ears, chocolate drop eyes, candy nose...Marianne couldn't resist and kept trying to climb onto the kitchen table to sneak a peek. One afternoon at snacktime I gave her a cupcake. I set it on her highchair tray, and she leaned forward to lick it! She continued to lick away (without picking up the cupcake!) until most of the frosting was off the cupcake and on her face.

When all the frosting was gone, she picked up the cupcake and went to work.




After Marianne polished off the rest of her cupcake, we headed straight to the bathtub!

Musical Chairs

About 30 seconds after I discovered that Marianne could climb up onto the chairs and quickly scale the kitchen table, we've been pretty vigilant about keeping all of the chairs tucked under the table where they belong.

So now, a few weeks later, Marianne has decided that she'll play "musical chairs" and crawl from chair to chair under the table. She bumps her head quite a bit during her game of musical chairs, but it doesn't stop her!
